G Suite Account Sign Up - How Do I Create?

oogle's G Suite (now Google Workspace) brings your Google applications together into one simple and effective suite. With G Suite, you can collaborate professionally in one area and meet your productivity needs. So how do you create a GSuite account? The process is user-friendly and takes about an hour or less. We divided the process into three parts: setting up your G Suite account, managing your G Suite account, and verifying your domain.

The first part of the process, setting up your G Suite account, is fairly straightforward and takes about 10-20 minutes at most. The time it takes to complete the second part of the process (managing your G Suite account) depends on the number of team members you need to add to your account. For example, just adding your account to a G Suite account takes far less time than adding ten team members.

How Do I Create a G Suite Account in 3 Steps

So let’s get started and walk step-by-step through the process of creating your G Suite account.

Setting up Your G Suite Account

To create a G Suite account, first you’ll need to head to the G Suite site and click the Get Started button.

If you are setting up this account for a business, then you will be considered the G Suite Account Admin. Enter your business name and the number of employees in your business, including yourself.

The number of employees can be adjusted at a later time if your employee numbers change, so during initial setup you won’t have to worry about this unless you go with the Business license and want unlimited cloud storage out of the gate (in which case you should get 5 licenses during setup).

Add your personal information

Next, enter the following information: first name, last name, and current email address. This information is used for company location and billing. After you create a G Suite account, Google uses your email address to send account information.

Set up company domain

Now is the time to enter your company's domain name.

  • If you already have a domain name, click Yes, I have one. This should be the domain you use primarily and intend to use your Google services.
  • If you need to register a new domain, click No, I need one. You can then choose and buy a domain name.

On the next screen, you will be asked to enter your first and last name. Now enter the username/email address and strong password you want to use for your new G Suite account on your domain. This is the email address and password you use to sign in to Google apps in G Suite.

You can use your name, department, or simple terms like about, company, or admin.

Since this will be used as your G Suite admin account, if there is more than one person, you may want to use something common, like B. Team members can access the admin area. Click I'm not a robot, then click Agree and continue.

To complete your account setup, please verify your account and checkout now. On this screen, you should see a summary of monthly charges and one-time charges such as domain names. If you use the 14-day free trial, all monthly charges will be incurred after the trial period ends.

Verify your account information and enter your payment method to complete checkout.

Manage G Suite accounts

You've now created a G Suite account and can start managing your account. After verification and checkout, you should be redirected to the login page. Sign in to your account and review your G Suite plan, confirm and click Next.

You can now add teams to your G Suite account:

  • Click Add people to your G Suite account, then click Get started.
  •  Next, use these fields to enter the names of all team members and the email addresses you want them to have on the domain, then click Add.
  • After entering your team members, confirm that you have added all current user email addresses and click Next. G Suite will now show you an email template that will be sent to each new user.

Verify your domain with G Suite

At this point, you are almost done!

The final step is to verify your domain name with G Suite. Let's first verify that you are the domain name used to set up your G Suite account.

Verify your domain

You should be on the page titled "Verify Your Domain and Set Up Email". Now highlight and copy the code that appears in the meta tag field.

Next, go to your WordPress or whatever content management system (CMS) you use for your website and add meta tags in the <head> section of your website. When done, save the changes.

Update DNS settings

Now you need to adjust your DNS (Domain Name System) settings to access Gmail emails on your domain.

If you don't want to add new meta tags to your website, you can add additional records to verify your domain name and adjust your DNS settings.
To complete this step, go to your domain registrar (probably GoDaddy or Bluehost), your hosting account or server settings and find your domain settings.

Now add the DNS settings shown on the G Suite settings page and save the changes.

At this point, you can instruct Google to verify your domain. Google uses a countdown timer to let you know when your account is ready.Note that DNS changes can take up to a day to propagate, although I use Bluehost this is usually done within 15 minutes. Your mileage may vary depending on who you work with, so you should wait at least a day before using your new email address.

That's it! you are done

That's How to create a G Suite account!
You should now have access to Google Apps and Gmail accounts on your domain.

If at any time you want to adjust something, just go to and log in to the G Suite Admin page. Once there, go to your profile settings to make any adjustments or additions you want.
